New Site

Hello! Welcome to the new Joe Maynard Artwork site!

I’ve made the move over to a Squarespace site for a few reasons, the main being connectivity with elements like the Twitch stream. Some of you may know that I stream 3 days a week playing games and talking about life, the universe and anything really. And a major reason for changing to this site was to be able to embed the Twitch live streams into the website, so people can navigate to it from here, and also so I can share clips of the stream here for people to get a feel as to what it’s like in one of my streams. Though this is proving challenging at the moment.

Another reason for switching over is this blog feature. Normally I post updates over on my Instagram, showing what I’m working on, both Fatesight related and not, but with this blog forum, I can go into a bit more detail with each post about what’s happening with me, both professionally and personally.

So to close out, what have I been working on recently? Well, the latest piece that I’ve uploaded and finished is the city street scene, which you can find here. In non Fatesight work, I have been creating a new character named Ceneri Bjorgdottir, I’ve been playing a lot of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla recently, with the new Siege of Paris DLC. Ceneri is a character that comes from my Dungeons and Dragons homebrew world, from the continent of Venka, the humans from that continent being inspired by Norse, Dane, Celtic and Gaelic people and cultures. I’ve fallen in love with another one of my characters, and can’t wait to flesh out her family, already having plans and ideas for her mother, father and brothers. Got a little sneak peek at Ceneri below, more to come when I’ve got a final illustration piece. Beyond that, I’m starting work on concepting the colony ships for Fatesights history and being really inspired by Bungies Destiny cutscenes and trailers, and so I’m wanting to start doing some 3D animations to tell the stories of Fatesight.
