Solace was the first level in the game that I was responsible for creating the assets and laying out the environment. In my capacity in this role, I was responsible for creating many of the foliage assets, as well as laying them out, shaping the terrain and overseeing others, making sure we were all working towards the same vision and goal.

The levels in Cornucopias are broken up into Zones, with each zone containing 3 sectors. Each sector is a large 8km dome, with mountains, water, open fields, dense forests, mines and caves. The other major element in each sector are the towns, with digital plots dotted around the environment, that are player owned, and eventually able to be built upon. Leading the town team in laying down the plots and towns in realistic ways was my first major element and first foray into being a lead.

Detailed in this page are area’s inside Solace that I myself laid out and sculpted the terrains, as well as assets I created myself.

Screenshots of assets I produced for the Solace Region. I created a vast majority of the trees inside Solace, working with our Art Director to get a performant and visually impressive tree, utilising Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite system to have individual leaves and needle clumps on the trees.
